An Evening Recap

Party Time!!! for all the Semi-Finalists of the ACFW Genesis contest! I couldn't be happier for all of you!

Unfortunately, my name wasn't on the list...but I'm already over it!

Before I knew results were coming out yesterday, my original plan for the evening was: put the kids to bed, write, write, write.

When I read the news, my plan deviated...but only slightly: put the kids to bed, make cookie dough, consume unhealthy amounts of said dough, watch a super sappy movie, fall into a chocolate chip induced sleep.

Okay, so that's a bit dramatic. Not to say all of those things didn't actually happen (they did) but they've happened on many other nights too. Not just when I'm disappointed. :)

I'm truly thrilled for each semi-finalist!! Good things to come for all, I'm sure!

Share with me: How did you spend yesterday evening?

  1. My husband and I took our son to the park. Fun stuff!

  2. I went to church and actually stayed. You know it's bad when people give you strange looks and say, "You're going to church? I mean IN the actual sanctuary?" LOL (I use that hour and a half as writing time usually and I never feel guilty.)

Came home, did a vlog and texted with my pal from CA...oh wait, that's you! LOL

    1. Hi Joanne, anything covered in chocolate is a good idea! :) How old are your munchkins? Mine are 6, 5, and 2.

  4. Congrats to all the semi-finalists!

I worked until 10:15PM, then came home and went to bed. Man, I was tired yesterday. Must be the weather.

    1. Oh, Loree! Why were you working so late? I'd be exhausted too. I'm an old lady and like to be in bed by 9:30...usually. :)

  5. I thrilled for all the semi-finalists. My heart goes out to those who didn't get the call.

Hugs to you, Lacie. I hope the cookie dough therapy did the trick. If not, I'm a phone call away.

    1. Well, hello there, soul mate! :) I love you Jenny! When you move to CA we'll have junk food and watch sappy movies all the time! Now all you have to do is uproot your entire family, pack up all your belongings, have your husband find a job out here, and drive across the country. Piece of cake! LOL

    2. Or you can come to GA. Lots of sweet tea & grits here. :) And we're only a 6 hour drive from Disney World, 3 hours from the beaches on Florida's gulf coast. Not so bad!

Either way, we need to find a way to move closer to each other.

  7. I'm sorry your name wasn't on the semi-finalist list. Been there, eaten that cookie dough. :)

Last night I hung out with the family, watched Survivor (of course) and Criminal Minds, and made brownies. :)
