What's In Your Bucket?

The other day at my women's Bible study we were talking about bucket lists.

I was surprised at how many of the women at my table don't even have one!

Or maybe I'm the weird one. Quite possible actually. :)

Some of the things on my bucket list are:

  • Run a marathon on the Great Wall of China
  • Drive cross country - somehow stopping in every state
  • Vacation in Fiji
  • Pay off our house
  • Follow the Oregon Trail and see all the landmarks
  • Understand what a down is in football (been working on that one awhile now)
  • Have a book published
  • Learn to speak Italian and visit my distant cousins in Italy
  • Visit Jerusalem
  • Finish my ancestral history and visit important places
  • Start a hobby farm and channel my inner cowgirl
  • Fly first class at least once
Some of those are kind of silly but you get the idea.

Share with me - Do you have a bucket list? What are some of the things on your list?

  1. Lacie, I love your list. I'd be happy to accompany you when you tour the New England states if you need company. =)

I don't really have a bucket list. I've already done many of the things that would have been on it. At this point in my life, I look forward to our daughter marrying a wonderful Christian guy at some distant point and to loving on some grandkids, if that's the Lord's plan for our daughter, but I'm in no rush. I'm too busy enjoying my wonderful life and the many awesome people the Lord has brought my way.

  2. Great list! A down in football is when they fall. Right????? ;)

I will go to Italy and Jerusalem with you and since you'll be able to speak Italian, I won't sweat NOT learning it. I know fugeddabootit and Mi Amore. That's plenty.

I want to visit Ireland and stay in a real castle.

The only marathon I run to is the one down the street when my van's low on gas! Ha!

  3. Hmmm... I don't have an official bucket list but there are a number of things I'd really like to do. Skydiving being one. But my mother made me promise I wouldn't skydive while she was alive and I hope she stays alive a long time so I hope I don't get to skydive for awhile :)

Publish a book would be another one! ;)

  4. My bucket list is over 100 items. Some of mine are similar. I want to go cross country also, but on a motorcycle. I also want a book published.

I am not a big sports person, but I can explain the down in football thing to you.

One thing on my bucket list is to travel by train from Toronto to Vancouver.

  6. One thing on my bucket list is to go to an Olympics. Summer or winter - see the gymnastics or ice skating competition. I've always wanted to go.
