Halloween is right around the corner followed by the fast moving weeks that lead up to the end of the year.
In a blink it'll be 2012. Geez!
And since I pulled out my calendar today and started plugging in events for the next three months (pumpkin patch, apple picking, turkey hunting, Christmas light decorating, tree chopping, etc. Just kidding about hunting a turkey...although, now that I'm thinking about it...) I'm wondering what does your next three months look like.
Are they jam-packed with fun kiddie activities? Do you like to keep it slow and simple? What is your favorite holiday? And what is a favorite tradition of yours for that holiday?
I'm a Christmas nut. So, we'll all be singing along to the Chipmunks the day after Thanksgiving - sometimes sooner if I can justify robbing Thanksgiving of it's moment of glory. :)
Happy Thursday!
It sounds like you have some fun activities planned, Lacie. I'm sure your children will enjoy them greatly. Don't forget to tote your camera. =)
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I are empty nesters, so some of our earlier traditions have gone by the wayside. These days our celebrations revolve around our college daughter's visits. She's big into Christmas, so we put lots of effort into making her time at home around the holidays tonz of fun for her.
My calendar is packed from now until the end of the year, too!
ReplyDeleteWe're Christmas nuts as well. And I will happily admit that I've already listened to some Christmas music, my boys have already requested to pull out their Christmas DVDs, and we'll be putting up our decorations the week of Thanksgiving (yes, before Turkey day. That's how we roll.) I love this time of year!
Love the fast pace from Thanksgiving to Christmas, and the cool down to New Years.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year. We'll take a trip to the pumpkin patch. I'm going to plant more pansies. I think this time of year makes me more domestic. I'm usually not a big cook, but this time of year, I usually start trying out new recipes. The fall has been a great relief from our record breaking temperatures this summer.
ReplyDeleteOur schedule is ramping up here too. Piano lessons after a summer hiatus. Basketball practices and games. Bible studies resuming.
ReplyDeleteGood times. :)
I love fall, so we'll be doing many of those things. I am not hunting a turkey. Um, I will make one out of a grocery sack, though. I mean I would, I'm not. Unless I'm made to. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love October and we have big cookouts and Halloween/birthday parties where we all get to dress up. Love picking out who'll I become. This year me and my 2 besties are going as characters from one of my novels! How fun!
I'm busy for the year in a good way and I will be chipmunking it with you!
